The Wanted have become the first UK boyband to have a Top 3 hit in the US.
The band's song 'Glad You Came' has reached number two in the US iTunes chart, and number one on the US iTunes Pop Chart, beating Take That's record of number seven in 1995.
Their success, which they have described as "emotional", has also seen them become the first British boyband to go straight to number one in Canada as well.
The Wanted have just wrapped up a sold out tour in the US, and will be returning to the UK for another sold out tour, which begins at London's O2 Arena on March 3.
Later in March, the band are scheduled to perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Chelsea Lately, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and MTV's Spring Break.
Ashley Tabor - the founder and executive president of Global Talent, who formed The Wanted - told Music Week: "It's absolutely fantastic to see all the boys' hard work paying off, not just within the UK but now also internationally."
