Britney was fortunate to come out at the right time and at the right place. Taylor had to work very hard to get to where she is right now with hard work and her unique talent. She is breaking the record IN 2014, whereas Britney broke the previous record IN 2000, where album sales were at an all time high.

"Britney" and "In The Zone" weren't "hugely successful" either. If they were, they'd AT LEAST be in the top 10 best selling albums for their respective years like "Oops I Did It Again" and "Baby One More Time" were.
