They existed, it's just that Mediabase wasn't keeping track of them. Now they are, but back with Leona, they weren't.
I think Mediabase should just use the top 200 markets' stations no matter how large the panel would turn out to be. Then at least it could be fair to make these decisions. I mean, back when Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry" hit 10k, there was 130 stations on the panel. And now, there's 135. That definitely shows you it's growing.
Umm. No.
Those five stations were tracked by Mediabase, but were Rhytmic or Urban stations then.
They were converted and tracked as Pop stations just recently.
I hope she gets to Top 40 soon... its taking her so long again...
TMO is still huge, even @ pop.
And since she never really got a hit on mainstream [TMO went to like Top 25] she won't have crazy bullets like on Rhythmic and Urban, she will take some time but lets not forget TMO went Top 50 when it was almost dead on Urban and Rhythmic so KYD is doing really well [it's not Top 10 on Rhythmic or Urban yet and almost Top 50 on pop, so better timing than TMO that's for sure].
"Use Somebody" is going for adds on mainstream radio this month (along with Coldplay's "Life in Technicolor II".)
Did they ever send Sex On Fire on top40 radio? When? The band's album is a SMASH in the UK and Australia! Sex On Fire and Use Somebody are great tracks and deserve to do well on american mainstream top40
