Exactly. Both Lady Gaga and Beyoncé did well that night. Why pit them against one another? It's not like they're even doing the same thing. I don't see anyone doing the same to Bruno Mars and Chris Martin. The media is so misogynistic. This article is bogus.

Yes. And I'm sure Beyoncé knows that. Part of being a legend and icon though is really cementing your image and style in the public's mind. Like Tina Turner, Diana, MJ before her, Beyoncé (using these models) has created her own very distinct formula. And although she sticks to it she is doing new things in big ways. She's smart with it.

But how does that differ from Tina Turner? How many brand new choreographies does she debut? She doesn't have to. That's my point. Even MJ always had his signature style. He wasn't doing jazz one day, ballroom the next, etc. Nitpicking her performances for her style is just because you can't nitpick anything else.

Most other popstars don't switch up their performing style*, but they have other flaws so we focus on that.

I'll never understand Beyonce fans. They claim Beyonce is untouchable and #1 but still get upset when another female popstar gets attention for any reason. If showcasing your talent and winning awards for it makes Gaga a hasbeen, she's probably happy being a hasbeen.
