So I've come to see that there is not a positive reaction to this song on this board. I've seen all from:
- Boring
- Bad single choice
- Not mainstream
- Flop
- Etc.
Let's start out with saying that this song is an AMAZING and I mean AMAZING vocal, perhaps the best female vocal of the YEAR. The song is far from boring; It is a catchy country-pop song and with a vocal like this, how can it be boring. The whole "bad single choice" and "not mainstream enough" are just silly. Carrie Underwood is not a big mainstream artist. People look at "Before He Cheats" and think that from here on out, everything has to be as big as that.
Some Hearts did not become 6x platinum off of that ONE single, you know. Carrie is a Country artist and this song will kill on Country radio. It will not flop and her album will be extremely successful. It doesn't matter if it peaks at only #40 or so on the Hot 100 because Country songs rarely do well on that chart. So really, I don't understand all the hate here.
