Yes the era has had some lacks, but she still sold as many albums as Loud for instance and more than TD, two eras considered very successful (no shade intended). BTW will sell, when everything is done, something similar as TF or TFM taken separatly.

She only needs to come back with songs with less preachy lyrics, but still the quality of this album to come back to the top.

People still like her, sometimes people don't like some of the things she does, e.g. singles choices and music videos. Just because you don't love everything which is spoon fed down your throat doesn't make you any less of a stan.

Pop has always been a broad term. You all just have a warped idea of what 'pop' is. Almost anything can be considered 'pop.' I'm not going to get into the whole 'pop star' thing or who is 'bigger,' but pop is more than just manufactured dance beats, stage lights and costumes.

That doesn't change the fact that Adele IS pop, at least somewhat, in the musical sense of the word. Her main genre may be R&B/Soul or whatever, but most of her songs have a commercial sound to them.

I never said Adele didn't make pop music. She's not a "pop star" in the conventional sense, but that's a separate discussion.

It's not a "bad album" , its heterogeneous style is not welcomed by Pop Music Fans and the General Public , it goes from Generic Pop beats (Born This Way) to Rock & Roll or whatever you want to call it (You&I) and Industrial/Hard/Experimental Electronic. (Government Hooker , Heavy Metal Lover). So , it's hard to get used to a new sound when the singer just sang about parties & sex.

Highway Unicorn & Bad Kids are not good songs objectively , but the rest is very good.
