So funny that now that Sia is everywhere, people pretend to know her story.
She's always said that she doesn't want to be famous, she was already ready to retire from being a musician and said she would have loved to do small intimate shows in just Australia. She also said it was a dark period for her in her life.
She then got a call from Xtina to work on Bionic and since Sia had previously wanted to work with X, she agreed to do it. She even mentioned that she came to the U.S. and had very little money and nowhere to stay, so she crashed at Xtina's house.
Then slowly she started writing for more mainstream acts. She wasn't even supposed to be on Titanium--the song was shipped to both Katy Perry and Mary J Blidge. David thought Sia was the only person to do the song justice so he released her version over Mary's. Since then she took off.
But if you notice, even while Wild Ones and Titanium were smashing she never came out in the music videos or promoted the songs. Again, that's because she said she doesn't care for the Fame because she knows it's not healthy for her.
