I keep watching 'Band or DJ'. The scene with Ted and Lily on the rooftop is one that I've had with 2 of my friends and we're only in our 20's.

It was definitely the second best scene in the entire series for me, only to the ending of 'Bad News'.

I wonder how they will wrap up the season with 5 episodes left. The finale is usually the break up with Ted's current girl but he ditched the last one 2 episodes ago.

They would probably show some glimpses of the mother and end up with Barney marrying Robin

I have a feeling the mother won't show up at the finale or no one will be interested to watch next season since we know who it is already. Maybe Ted leaves in the wedding since Farhampton is where he saw her first?

Ted has no girl now so maybe the next 4 episodes will also be fillers like Ep 19

Everthing went wrong in Barney and Robin's wedding that's what they have already said.
So, we are probably going to have an epic finale and yay probably some fillers episodes until then.
Yay you are right they will not show the mother otherwise suspense in the series will be lost and probably the series will get boring.So no idea about mother even in this season I guess

I'm so excited for the finale of this season I feel like it has to be amazing.
The last episode was definitely filler, but the ending with Robin made me laugh so hard

That scene was amazingly done. Alyson is such a great actress. Another key moment for me in the series is the end to "Tick Tick Tick". Is Bad News the episode where Lily finds out she's fine, but Marshall's dad dies? That's a great scene. So is the one where you see Ted all happy, but Marshall is sitting outside after Lily leaves.

That's one of my many faves
That scene hit me so hard I don't know what it is, but i felt super emotional after seeing it, I love the writers So many iconic moments.

I'm going through all the seasons again. I'm currently like 2/3 through Season 3.

Me too, i end up so depressed. That whole episode is just so emotional, it may be the most emotional but maybe that's just because i'm really attached to both Robin and Ted.

Did they confirm how many episodes the final season will have? 20+ seems like a lot, so I would be ok with 12 and 2 hour long part 1 and 2 series finale.

I don't think they've said yet. I will not be happy with anything less than an hour season finale

My fav episode would be The Playbook.

I am just hoping that the finale lives up to the expectation

My favorite scenes (on top of my head):

1. Ted muted the TV to talk to Lily while Robin gave birth to an old lady, set out the fire, did CPR on the dying guy. The whole thing killed me
2. 1st Robin Sparkles video (didn't like the rest). The whole thing is gold
3. Ted teaches Barney how to drive
4. Two minute date with Stella
5. Cockamouse
6. Ted decorated the house for Robin (I wanted them together )
7. Barney to Ted: "you dumped a p0rnstar? friendship over"
8. On the finale of first season when Ted came home and Marshall broke up with Lily
9. Ted recalls his misfortunes in Season 3 and jumps across the building anyway then flashforward to him being a professor. The music fits so well
10. The tournament between the girls who hates Barney the most
11. Marshall's dad passed away
12. Ted talks with Lily about Robin on the rooftop
13. Barney: "Hanging up on you once wasn't enough!" <-Forgot the context
14. Barney's Jor-El cam
15. The episode where Robin was talking with her future kids then they fade away at the ending
16. Barney explains the 3 days rule to the gang and relates it to Jesus
17. Robin gave Lily a $ex toy as present and her grandma narrates how she and her husband used it


Sooo many to choose from but the Robin moments are my favorite!

i feel like they should reveal the mother in the finale now, so everyone would be excited to see Season 9 and what all Ted goes through with The Mother.. i honestly want the mother to be revealed in the finale then season 9 would be about their relationship!!

and i am actually confused about when ted meets the lady.. cuz they showed in Band Or DJ that ted sees her playing the base in the wedding, then they show her sitting next to ted on the railway station like thats when they met!!

If they do show the mother, the entire suspense will end and No one bother to watch next season cause everybody already know the mother.
