Lol, why is this even a question? Viola is a seasoned actress with immense acting chops.
While I enjoy Gaga's performance in AHS, there's no denying that she's an amateur. Just being "good" doesn't warrant a nomination.
Her acting is clearly subpar in comparison to Viola's, it's immensely obvious that this nomination is just to appeal to her star power versus how she's actually acting. If some unknown acted with the same skills as Gaga currently, all of you (and the Satellites committee, not that they're exactly renowned) would say "meh" and move on.
Viola Davis is one of the most phenomenal actresses of our time.
She gave the performance of a LIFETIME in the winter finale of How To Get Away With Murder and shall be snatching every award possible just for that.
Gaga is mediocre. She lucks charisma, emotion and talent. She was good in the last AHS episode, but that's it.
