My favorite single of the year keeps getting closer, here are three more songs...
08. Justin Timberlake f/ T.I. - My Love
"You could be my baby, let me make you my lady, girl, you amaze me..."
This is the second song from Justin Timberlake in my countdown. This song is an instant pop music classic. Once again, Timbaland is responsible for the production of the song, and he sure does a great job. T.I. also does a great job, his rap towards the end of the song works perfectly and fits the song. There is no doubt that Justin's falsettos are incredibe, too. The irresistible beats and Justin's vocal performance make this song one of the best ones this year.
07. Beyonce - Irreplaceable
"I could have another you in a minute, matter fact, he'll be here in a minute..."
This is by far the best song in B'Day, and I was so excited when she decided to release it in the US. Beyonce's first two singles were ignored by radio, but this masterpiece was too good to be ignored. The strong lyrics and the meaning behind them make this song a lot better. The catchy "to the left" chorus get easily stuck in your head for hours. Irreplaceable is currently the number one song in the Hot 100 and it's easily one of her best songs ever, if not the best.
06. Nelly Furtado - Say It Right
"Do you got what it takes to set me free, oh you could mean everything to me..."
I thought it was impossible to make a better song than Try, but I was completely wrong. Say It Right is truly a masterpiece and the best song in her album Loose. Timbaland, once again, does an even better job with this song. Unlike, Promiscuous or Maneater, this song will be remembered for years and it will be extremely hard for her to make a better song than this one. Say It Right is currently my favorite song, and I think it could've taken the top spot this year if it wasn't released by the end of last year.
