You definitely should go with Snivy or Oshawatt. IMO there aren't any good Water Pokémon (besides the starter) in the game so that would make Oshawatt a good starter, but Snivy's last evo (Serperior) looks the best out of them

depends, whether you like either Reshiram or Zekrom More (however, you can always trade for either of them so it's very difficult to decide )

Oshawott is probably the best in-game starter. It has decent stats and can also learn a lot of HMs.

I chose Snivy though, because it's just so badass.

Tepig and its evolutions are comparatively slow.
