As if those who voted and always saying Fearless album is undeserved already heard to the whole album.. Give me a review of every track and tell me why it is undeserved.. Well guys you can do nothing she already won and it is well-deserved.

I absolutely CANNOT with teh pressed Gaga stans.

Fact: The Grammy Awards is an American institution.

Fact: Fearless was the best selling album in the US in 2009, (yes even outselling The Fame.)

Fact: A country album hasn't had that kind of mainstream crossover success since God knows when. Taylor had country singles playing on pop radio. When will Gaga do it?

Fact: Even Fearless' Metacritic score was higher than The Fame

So Taylor snatched Gaga's wig in US commercial sales and critical acclaim, but Gaga was somehow more deserving of AOTY?

Oh, the delusion. And I haven't read every page of this thread, but shame on anyone using Kanye and the VMA's to try to discredit Taylor's success or blame her AOTY success on sympathy. The Academy has always favored real instrumental music over machine synthesized electro-pop. So the pressed will just have to deal.

I think Herbie won for a lot of reasons. For starters, he was the veteran of the group and has been in the game for a minute now. Plus, River was a Jazz album, and maybe Academy voters wanted to show love to a genre that rarely gets recognized for an AOTY nod, let alone wins the award.

That's a really good point and mostly why I didn't vote for it. I think it deserved the win.

How on earth did Fearless not deserve the win? It smashed and it's a fantastic album. Just because an album is written by a teenager and written for teenagers (thus being deemed "immature") doesn't mean that it's in any way a bad album.

Taylor made an album that accomplished its goals better than any other album in 2009.

Oh I know it had a lot of reasons why it won and I'm glad because it was my favorite album of the last 10 years. I was just saying that the competition was very fierce that year compared to any of the other years that any one of the albums would be a deserved legitimate winner.
