If you thought Loud, which had less acclaim and was less successful, had a chance at taking the Grammy, then you really have no idea about how the Grammys work. Loud was filler and had no chance at taking the trophy, whether you thought it was more deserving or not.

this, even though i was opposed to it being nominated in the first place. still am. i might be a Monster, but i can still recognize that the Fame was and is ****** as an album. and yet i still think Fame could've beaten Fearless still. that says so much.

River: The Joni Letters - Herbie Hancock
Raising Sand - Robert Plant & Alison Krauss
I don't hate these albums, but had best albums in those years in my opinion.

We all know why Fearless won. Let's not get into it.

Because it had the best combination of sales and critics? Lol.

Oh, come on. Even though I think that 21 was a deserving winner, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy CERTAINLY would have been a deserving winner, and Wasting Light was a fellow nominee that would have been a deserving winner as well.

Well I can't refute this as I won't go out and find most people who follow the Grammys and ask them. Obviously you have, so you win.

Why does everyone always get on Taylor's case? Go to Metacritic and look at her scores compared to the OTHER nominees that year plus the impact her album had with sales, it's quite clear why she won, you all are so bitter.

The last part sounds like you're a little pressed, but I agree with the fact that Wasting Light, Born This Way and even Loud should've won.

read the rest of my post please, i acknowledged it wasn't going to get the award, i just didn't think 21 deserved it. i exaggerated by saying i thought Loud had a better chance at winning it. i still understood it was never going to, but i still wanted to believe Adele didn't have a chance.

She's irrelevant yet has a diamond album in the US and has sold over 40M albums worldwide and has won 9 Grammys?

I don't even give a **** about The Grammys. Most of the albums on that list are frightfully average. I give a **** about people tossing out remarks about Fearless which they never seem to have the ability to back up. The same happened in that thread I linked to Everybody cleared out the moment they were challenged.

Fearless had a 73 while The Fame had a 71. The Fame has sold 15 million copies worldwide and Fearless has sold a little less than 9 million.

I remember now. You called it "shallow". You did not elaborate. You also said The E.N.D. deserved it more than Fearless. You did not elaborate.
I on the other hand gave some indepth thoughts. None of which you replied to. You cleared out of the thread on page 2.

It's not brainwash, it's just manipulating people and their empathy. It's easy to do, it's done every year with Grammys, Oscars, Golden Globes, etc. Especially when someone has had something embarrassing or tragic happen to them around awards season
It's basically true. Look at this poll. If you go around and ask most people who follow the Grammys, they'll say Taylor didn't deserve it.

Oh really? I don't recall hearing many people saying that after she won.
And yes, an ATRL poll of about 100 members is definitely an accurate representation of the general population.

Fearless, for sure. Weak album, especially compared with the other nominees that year.
