It's the first time I took her seriously, I don't really watch the Disney Channel (not since I was 11 anyways) unless it's Phineas and Ferb cause it *****, so I'd never really heard of her and would have written her off just for coming from Disney but I loved her music and have been stanning hard since, even half of the Hannah Montana stuff is worth a listen, hell I still jam to a few of her alter-egos bubblegum tracks.

I agree completely! she is a much stronger performer than she is an actress. she needs to focus on her music career not movies.

Yes she is a better singer but if she does a movie and its available in my country, I will still go watch and support. And gave a stern look if my friends or cousins comment about her acting.

What a perfect post.  Your single ideas were amazing, but my order would have to be: Liberty Walk as the lead single, with a hot video. Two More Lonely People in the fall, My Heart Beats For Love in the Winter, and Stay as a fan single with just a music video but no add dates for pop radio. Can't Be Tamed in all honestly could have sold 1.5m+ in the states, and 3m+ WW had Can't Be Tamed (song) not been released as the lead single. Love that song to DEATH, but it is strictly album material.
As for the HWR thing and leaving her out to die, I think they did that after they saw the first weeks sales. Can't Be Tamed did shoot up to the top ten though, was #1 on itunes for 2 days, has sold 900k+ downloads (i'm pretty sure it's platinum) and the video is about to hit 100m+ views. The era had legs, but HWR thought the 100k was the end of it and stopped.
I agree that Miley was never meant for movies. TV, however, she's okay with. She was really entertaining on Hannah Montana. As long as she just does a few guest spots here and there, and stays AWAY from any more indie movies that get shelved for 2 years, I'll be good.

I won't shade Selena that much since I like a couple of her songs, and her fanbase on here is extremely nice, but she can't touch what Miley has done. The We Own The Night tour barely scraped passed $5 million dollars with 60 dates in the states (Selena's biggest market), while the Gypsy Heart Tour made $26 million+ dollars, with 21 dates. Selena's singles, I will admit, have seen great success for what she has. 2 platinum, and 1 2x platinum is nothing to shy over, but when Miley is also doing platinum with When I Look At You (a second single, also a ballad), Can't Be Tamed (one of the most backlashed songs of our generation), and Party in the USA (near 5x paltinum), it's not that worthy. And TV I won't even get in to. Wizards had high views, but nobody bought their toys, or lunch boxes, shirts, accessories, etc. While Hannah Montana still to this day is sold in stores. There's no comparison over the artists.

Lol i don't mind shading if u spill the true tea we all r mature enough to understand the difference btw shading and reality well i never said that miley is not popular or something like that i just said that other girls r making their impact on market and selena is giving a tough competition to miley i have nothing against miley and mentioned before we can't compare them they all r unique selena is a born actress and miley is a born singer may be possible that selena won't continue her singing career and she was never serious about it and at present she is doing so many movies and its possible that she will surpass the miley movies on box office
