And anyway , even so , how can you say that someone with 2 million of sales had a bigger impact than someone with 5 times her sale . Adele is EVERYWHERE right now.
This can be the PERFECT match . Practically , they both had an active career for 1 year .
When BTB became big , people didnt even know Frank existed . Same with 21 , when it became HUGE , few people were aware of 19's existence. They both enjoyed critical acclaim and were flooded with Grammy Awards [ Adele-6 , Amy-5 , if I am not mistaken]
So , basically , in the US Adele outdoes Amy in every aspect.
Radio , sales [album+singles , ADELE >>] , awards.

ADELE makes music with a lot of pop appeal
Amy made Jazz music.
Can't be compared by sales Pop has a much larger audience

I know - I voted for Amy!
I'm just fed up of people saying Adele would have been nothing without her.

Amy on the other hand, is responsible for Lily Allen, Ellie Goulding, ADELE, Jessie J maybe even Florence.

I see no Pop appeal in ANY of 21's songs.
And if there's any , its the same amount BTB had .
And I say that , cause both of the albums had no pop influences , in the sense of what pop music stands for today.
But in a way I understand how you mean 21 had pop influences , but in that sense BTB had too.
They can definitely be compared.

Gerllll have you listened to 19? The obvious pop makeover in 21 is kind of hard to miss.

Amy gave us Duffy, Adele, Grabiella Climi and all the other pop-soul acts that came right after her, what did Gaga impact and influence in terms of music industry?

I see no pop makeover . I insist .. Rolling had the same amount of pop appeal that Back To Black had. And the list goes on.

21 is an album full of POP ballads. Just because you don't hear them playing at the gay bar doesn't mean they're not pop.

You said her impact was "tiny" compared to the UK. ISn't winning Grammys shown you made impact in the States? So...you're statement is null and void

Back to Black has sold 2,579,174 in the United States. Amy collectively won 5 GRAMMYs in one night; Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best New Artist. The album was also nominated for Album of the Year. In 2012, Amy won a 6th GRAMMY for her duet with Tony Bennett.
In 2011, Back to Black was announced as the UK's second best-selling album of the 21st century by the Official Charts Company, having sold over 3,500,000 million copies in the UK alone (topped by Adele's 21?).
As well as having sold more than 10 million copies worldwide, Back to Black is the only album by a female artist to appear twice as the best-selling album of the year - to which is on route to be topped by Adele for her sales in 2011-2012.
So... apart from Adele's critical acclaim, who else is doing it?

Maybe , u ve never heard a JAZZ album .
It has both pop and RnB influences.

Yes - 2nd bestselling album in the UK this century and 2nd bestselling studio album of all time in the UK by a solo female (behind Adele's 21 in both cases).

Its not void at all. Since Adele won more in a single night and her album sold 5 times more than Amy's ? So if you consider Amys 2 .5 millions and 5 Grammy Awards in a night impactful then what are Adele's ?
You cant get my point ..lol . hilarious.
EDIT : And when did I say she didnt have an impact on the States ? I only said it was tiny COMPARED to the impact she had on the UK .
