Everyone always tries to downplay her success and talent, call her generic
But she's really not
Generic to me is like a song thats the skeleton of a successful hit. Lyrics about the dance floor, or sex, catchy beat etc. but no meat on the bones
Katy actually puts meat on the bones
On ET, instead of just saying a guy is different and cool, she compares him to an alien, with a whole alien theme, complete with an out of this world beat. I like that. Wth HH, instead of just singing about a new boyfriend who makes you nervous she compares it to a hummingbirds heartbeat, with an entire nature theme, ya know?
