It did okay, and it actually had over 10 million most of the times.

But what explains the voice doing much better though. They were on a FLOP network and their concept was pretty boring. They had no gossip and drama in it to help the ratings, it was repetitive, and still managed to do better even though its budget was small. IMO if x factor this season does not get AT LEAST a15 mill average viewership, DEMI SHOULD LEAVE THE SHOW ASAP.

Agreed! Shows that would would once get about 20 million in the UK (remember what out population is 62 million +)!!!! 12 million is considered a good figure for them now over here.

The Voice has a gimmick that is blind auditions....and the panel is pretty strong compared to last years panel.....over here in the UK when the voice started it had massive numbers because of the blind auditions once they were over it lost over 2 million viewers

The Voice concept is pretty great though?
but anyway, it doesn't matter, even they will see a decrease next year UNLESS this year's winner will actually get somewhere. Which is not likely to happen.

exaclty what happened here too. Well in the german version.
The blind audition is pretty much the only thing that separates it from an usual casting show.

But britney and demi should pull in more viewers, and hopefully theyll get better talent than last year. Simons learned from his mistakes and demi and britney will not benefit from a flop show with anything less than a 15 mill average viewership.

That's what I believe too, The voice is amazing at first but then it gets boring while X Factor always starts kinda meh but gets exciting throughout the season, especially starting from the judges houses and then the live shows which are way more entertaining that The Voice's.

NOTHING can beat X Factor live shows, they really put thought into each aspect including staging/performing.

Once the judges find out who they are mentoring it is really good and Judges Houses is always good to see

Demi will benefit LOADS from X Factor...it will sort of slowly change her image from "Former Disney Star" to "Talent show judge" which has a bit more credibility in it

Exactly. I just love the judges houses, I mean it's not better than the live shows, but I find the concept awesome, that's where you start to root for a certain team, a certain candidate or a certain coach...and the houses are always amazing, I wonder where Demi will take them at, and who she's going to bring as a co-judge.
