Why would it do that, though? This is not a fun./Gotye situation, nor does it have massive promo coming up to make such an occurrence happen. The only reason it is rising is because Gotye monster sales are subsiding and we'll back to some normalcy in weekly sales No. 1. And since M5 will always have advantage with explicit/clean + better airplay, they will go No. 1. It's simple.

Why are you assuming that M5 will continue to have better airplay? CMM is currently getting larger updates and will probably sustain those updates longer than M5 will sustain their updates, so it's only a matter of time til Carly catches up. Also, I don't see Carly having much of a problem creating a large lead if she snatches #1. Kelly gained a 30%+ lead when she was number one, and Stronger wasn't a hit the size of WAY or STIUTK either.

Even You & I made the top 10 on Itunes in 24 hours and stayed there after the video debut so what's stopping Where Have You Been, which sounds more commercial + had a more cohesive and hyped up video?
