Well she did lose some sales as a result of the tracking period. For example, it didn't sell 5.25M in the US within the tracking period. Same for other countries. But Grenade, which was released the same time, made the list (at #1, I believe).

If IFPI is January-December and "Firework" didn't sell all 5,250,000 copies in 2011.. that alone answers your unnecessary concern.
