I agree, I have a feeling he wants a panel thats very young and current and whilst CK would bring an outdated feel to the panel.
having said that Chaka Khan seems really desperate to do it so she probably needs the money, and with the amount they are paying Britney I doubt they'd be able to afford x10 grammy like CK, plus if she hasnt heard anything until now how can we even be sure she's getting the job..it seems way too last minute.

She brings some viewers, especially a lot of teens
She has an interesting background
her crazy fans...
She's a good singer and could give good advice there.

E! isnt reliable and I agree with some of it especially the tour part, but Chaka is massive (no shade) so they could be jumping at the chance, I personally hope Demi's already signed her contract That way if they release her they still have to pay her (they had to pay Cheryl her full fee)
