I'm not sure.
But I like Britney, and I'll enjoy her being in the media a lot more again, just like in the old days.
I just hope she doesn't do anything catastrophic.

why do people think this is a bad move? Why do people think some singers are above being a judge?
I'm glad they have Brit has a judge. Britney is someone who has the total package, the success, the media attention, etc. This is EXACTLY why Brit should be the judge. Britney has been there and done that, and is still successful. This is why it's good Brit is a judge, she has the experience, she knows the ins and outs, etc. she's definitely a good choice to be a judge.
Nobody ever said anything bad about Steven Tyler being a judge on American Idol. Just like the things they say about Britney, Steven has also had the success, the media attention, the WW impact, etc.
I don't see what the problem is.

They're not at the same league, or level ... it would be almost humiliating for britney being "Equal" to Demi Lovato on that show.
I heard some Legends and amazing stars turn down being a judge on The X factor... Like "Janet Jackson" , "Fergie" and some others...... they were wise.

Gurl Steven Tyler is done with his Amazing successfull career, He did what he had to do when he was young, he toured the world and achieved amazing stuff he is a legend, but now he is old, his band don't sell a lot of records like they used too....... so is understandable and totally normal that he accepted to be a Judge on American Idol in his free time and for the new generations.

No offense, Demi's league seen from the vocals is higher. Of course britney is huge.
Also, Britney likes Demi so yeah.

She's already had two eras of albums and tours. How have they come along so far? Oh, right.

It could be? I mean why are all these singers doing these shows now? :Xtina, JLO, Steven Taylor, Adam L., C Lo Green, Kelly Clarkson etc.

he's not done. He has another CD, coming out and you know he's gonna tour in the future. So what your saying is you would rather have people like Nicole Scherzinger judge a show compared to people like Steven and Brit?
If anything Steven and Brit are WAY better choices. They have much much much more experience. If I was a contestant I would want a judge who's not doing the show just for their own career starter and booster (Nicole).

What does league have to do with it? Who would they have to find to put considered equal?
Tell ME how did Ellen have the credibility to judge American Idol as a COMEDIAN towards a SINGING CONTEST.
Demi has just enough experience to tell people what she thinks is right & whats wrong.

4) Britney is not in her best shape right now
5) Being a judge would mean like she is the substitute of Paula Abdul
6) she would be sit next to "Demi Lovato"
honestly I don't see anything positive coming out of this.

That is exactly what Britney is right now tbh.

When I said they're not at the same league or level ... I wasn't refering to the vocal abilities ... I could care less about that
Britney is a Worldwide pop icon .... Demi Lovato is like a c-list celebrity

Well Britney wanted to do this and nobody can say otherwise. Her career wasn't dead like JLo's or Christina's before they started judging. Therefore she will do great

so?
who really cares about how famous a judge is? You know they can be good judges even if they're not famous?
A part of being a judge is also giving advices, and Demi can give advices about vocals so.

Yes. Legends tend to fade because they think Oh im a "legend" the public shouldn't see me very ofter.
For example Michael Jackson, he didn't have the best album sales during his last few albums. This was because he never did much of anything besides stay in hiding. The only reason he was in the press was because of all the controversy that surrounded him.
This is def a great move. Britney will continue her career on top. and expand her brand to new generations.
