Demi Lovato is reportedly the ideal choice as the fourth judge on the next season of X Factor USA.

The 19-year-old performer is the front runner to join Simon Cowell and LA Reid on the judging panel of the talent show.

TMZ claims that although she hasn't yet received an offer, studio executives have singled her out as the favourite.

Other stars in the race for the coveted job are Miley Cyrus, Avril Lavigne, LeAnn Rimes and Fergie.

Britney Spears is said to be close to signing a $15 million deal to take up one of the two vacant spots but nothing has been finalised.

Demi is enjoying a resurgence in her career after taking time out to go to rehab for her eating disorder and emotional issues.

Is it only me or is Demi the one who's mentioned WAY more in these articles than Miley/Avril or anyone else...?
and also, the rumor about her being a judge has been going around for longer than the other ones.
Plus she was apparently also in talks last year? might just have been another rumor, but then again every rumor has some sort of truth.

She wasnt rumoured to be in talks last year...she WAS in talks last year but age ruled her out of the job....by the time the show goes live Demi will be 20!
