Why? I have faith that this album can bring Kelly back to the top like during the Breakaway days...Mr. Know It All was a decent start and now that the country version is slowly becoming a hit it's even better. What Doesn't Kill You was a huge hit in America and did very well in Worldwide too.
I have VERY HIGH HOPES for Dark Side! I am talking becoming the biggest hit of Kelly's career. With the right promotion this song will be HUGE.
The label & Kelly need to take a big risk by releasing...Honestly. Does it have the catchy Pop radio sound? Not at all but IMO that is a good thing. It will be different and if you have noticed...radio is beginning to change. Some of the most popular Hits lately don't have the normal radio sound. Adele? Fun? Gotye? It is obviously a risk but one that will work IMO. All that would need to happen is Kelly performing the song at a big event or show. Once its digital sales grow, radio will support it. Honestly will also be a song that helps album sales.
As for Let Me Down? If you listen to the song you will notice that it doesn't exactly have a normal pop formula either. Piano, heavy drums, odd alternative background sounds (as with Dark Side) an odd pause during the bridge? The song also has a catchy but explosive chorus. Overall, Let Me Down strays away from the normal dance radio sound while still reaming catchy...risky but IMO will pay off.
Was Adele normal? What about Fun? Gotye?
I actually think that Stronger can shoot Kelly to the top again! Will album sales surpass Breakaway? Heck no, but considering how hard it is to sell albums now that should be obvious. I do think however that Kelly could have more Single success than she did during Breakaway.

wait it says Lionel announced back in MARCH he was no longer part of Duets? Wtf why was he still promoting it then. See none of these stories add up and make sense...
Perez is a flop blogger though. It wasn't announced in March
For a song like Honestly to be a single and be successful, the song needs to be absolutely epic and amazing. Stans and non-stans alike should all absolutely love it. Honestly is great but its not one of Kelly's best songs ever. People are too divided with it. So no, I don't want it as a single.
he didn't name Kelly specifically, but I guess he implied that all people who come from reality shows or are involved with them aren't real artists.. and Miranda responded with this tweet:
(I love Miranda lol)
Well damn Miranda
I mean honestly though, he is only saying it for a some attention and to get his name around more
Radio is changing and the 4th Single likely won't be released until October or so...by that time a song like Honestly could become a hit for sure! The pop dance craze is starting to die down while alternative and unique is on the rise...

Lionel had gone to visit a girl. I'm wondering if he picked her? Or if John will now mentor her or if John picks his own people? I hope Lionel didn't pick this girl and leave her high and dry.
