This is EXACTLY what I said when I read Katie et al Judge Judy style this morning.
There doesn't seem to be a cohesive, coherent and legitimate explanation or logic for any decision taken. It's merely a warning for us never to invade another forum again.

After much deliberation on the .gif issue, we've agreed to a compromise that gives you the ability to use .gifs, but makes them more organized throughout discussions.

To them, upgrading the forum means changing the logo and the forum colors.
