I'm pretty sure it's out of 5. But that's what Rolling Stone typically gives pop/radio singles. I'm pretty sure they deduced points from the song for being formulaic.

Jimmy Kimmel to Host 2012 Emmy Awards
Some 1,000 lucky wristband holders will get to see the show live, the musical portion of which is broadcast from the parking lot behind Hollywood's El Capitan theater.
