I just don't understand why Carrie isn't promoting the crap out of it! It's not like the song is awesome enough to get to #1 without a few promo appearances.

Carrie's one of the first performer's announced at the Billboard Music Awards, so she'll probably perform it then... Although that's like a month away so maybe she'll be on a new single by then.
Anyway, I hope Kelly gets a chance to perform too! I think it's on ABC and it's only 4 days before Duets premiers. ABC better be ready to give Kelly all the promo she needs for Dark Side Duets...

Trust me, it will hit #1 in the long run most probably. country charts is one of the most complicated chart. many songs on the country chart may looks like its losing steam when it hit the top ten but then it will increase spins and ai again. Im guessing it could be the label pushing it. Furthermore good girl is her lead single. i'm pretty sure the label will do whatever it takes for her to extend her strings of #1 on country airplay.
