Her and Capitol must have thought that they weren't good enough to make it onto the 3rd album. I think it was a good idea because the re-release keeps us stimulated while she's working on the next album. And supposedly she's going in a new direction so the songs wouldn't have a place in it..
^That would've been AWFUL. If there was no rerelease the songs should've been left to die - I wouldn't want Teenage Dream leftovers taking up 2 spots on her next album... (Especially not Part of Me)

Hmm. Good point. I was just afraid people would get tired of hearing Katy Perry. She's been non-stop since, May 2010. I enjoy her, but you know how the public is. They get bored with everything so quickly. I'm surprised she's still getting a #1 after 2 years non-stop of releasing singles.
