The first song to leave us tonight is the first single from Come on Over. In my opinion, LGMET was an odd choice for the first single considering there were a few other songs on the album that screamed "HIT" more than this one. I figure this was chosen as the first single because it sounds very similar to songs on The Woman in Me album, so it was a safe bet for a hit. And it was a hit, as it reached #1 on the US country chart for five weeks and became her highest-charting song on the Hot 100 at that time, reaching #25. The original title for the song was "Gol Darn Gone and Done It", but I'm SO glad they changed it

The last title track remaining exits the competition at #12. "Up!" is definitely one of the most joyous and gleeful songs Shania's done, but the chorus doesn't satisfy me as much as I wish it would. The "yeah yeah yeah" part is much better than the chorus and much more satisfying to the ears. The song was the second country single from the album and reached #2 in Canada, #12 on US Country, and #3 in Hungary (random!).

It is short, it's the seventh shortest Shania song on my iTunes lol. Never noticed that! Dance with the One that Brought You is shorter though!

This was one of the more surprising results of the rate for me. I didn't think it would make it this far. "You've Got a Way" is always sorta overlooked because "You're Still the One" and "From this Moment On" were the two huge, successful ballads of Come on Over. I'll always love the video of her in the flower dress (she looked so stunning). The bridge for this song ("Oh how I adore you, like no one before you, I love you just the way you are") is superb. The song did well in America, reaching #6 on the AC chart, #13 on Country, and #49 on the Hot 100. A fact that I did not know until this rate started was that the song was nominated for Song of the Year at the Grammys in 2000, which is huge! I had no idea it received that much praise.
