It has some clever lyrics, but some messy ones... I think critics didn't like the lyrics...
I thought it'd do better than it did, but I can't really say I'm surprised; no promotion whatsoever and the video, while good, wasn't exactly exciting.
The Story of Us is my 11th most played Taylor song ever, even though it's not even in my top 20 favorites.
It's my 3rd favorite
btw Taylor also explained how she came up with Change in the same interview with Def Leppard check your local walmart for the DVD of Crossroads and you can find out what was said
