Tbh, announcing the single end December, then one performance and not hearing from Demi for nearly a whole month, then some (2-3 I think?) performances scattered over 2-3 months to have the video 4 months after it's been announced, is far from good.
And then I even left out how the announcement itself was already half a year after the previous single
I used to protect HWR cause I know that a lot is going on behind the scenes that we don't know, but I just can't anymore. They've screwed up big time, and seen the past they will probably keep doing so...

promotion wise yes! But promo isn't everything. The timing is much more important. I mean, again, who releases a single 4 months after the first one COMPLETELY died? and the second music video 9 months after the first one? This is the worst thing they can do for this era, everything was so inconsistent. Promotion in the release week of Unbroken, then NOTHING for several months, then a PCA performance then again nothing for 1-2 months and then finally another performance and the music video, but seriously...
I mean the promo for the single itself was really okay, but the treatment for the whole era was horrible.

Promotion, two months nothing, some concerts, 1 month nothing, PCA performance, 2-3 months nothing
but at least they're sending her singles to radios now, and she's getting more radio support... to say a positive thing

better, than HTL got...
Radios dont care about the previous single... you can see as right now by Selena.... LYLALS was a huge hit, and the song has over 25mAI at this moment, but the radios are ignoring the officially sending 3rd single.... completely flop.... so im coming here for staning to GYHAB.
So, forget the 1st single, bec, yes, after 8months the first single is really stupid thing to sending the 2nd song to the radios.
But, if we see just the 2nd single:
1, Sending to the radios (POP, HOT AC) in February.
2, Promo performance in AI, and PCA
3, Video releasing in March with a full E! Special
4, Radios are starting take off the song very decent, bec. Demi made a radio tour
5, Tweets from Chachi, and HWR twitter about the Demi related news all time
I think this is a very nice treat.
So, what happened with HTL.
1, Video released in November (WHY???)
2, Promo performance (New year.... EMA doesnt matter, it was in Europe)
3, Sending to radios (just POP) in APRIL (after 5months the video releasing...)
4, Radios dont seem, that take off this song, after the decent Who Says, and huge LYLALS radio hit.... interesting. Selena doesnt want to promo the song by radios, maybe soon she is going to KIIS FM....
So. This long break between Skyscraper and GYHAB could kill the album sales, but it seems doesnt have too much affect to the 2nd single's sales. It is stable around #50 on Itunes, radio update is better day by day...

If you wanna compare. How can you compare Demi's 2nd single with Selena's 3rd? We lucky they actually got sent to radios. You know HWR only cares the most about the 1st majority of the time. Fans had to beg for them to send it.

Yeah, with some parts i agree. I said already, that if we only look at the single promotion it looks good. But then again, PCA let her perform because of the fans and an insider said American Idol GOT her to perform because they were interested. And also, they can't really do much to make a single blow up.
You're saying she had a radio tour, but this is just completely not true! She had an interview on a big HAC station, a live chat on Z100 and she took over Sirious XM or something. That's pretty much all, and at the end Z100 added it again thanks to the fans requests because we got her on every countdown (like it happened with Skyscraper).
And the twitter-thingy doesn't change anything, actually Selena even makes it up herself when Demi doesn't even tweet when she has an interview. And as you said, they killed the album sales which is the worst they can do.
I'm not saying Selena got a better treatment, it was just as bad, and i know that this HTL situation wasn't good. But don't be depressed, HTL can still take off very fast. Not even 60% of the adds are reported, so everything can still happen!

I NEVER get involved in this Selena/Demi rubbish but be fair wanna compare the promo GYHAB has gotten. Do it with LYLALS. And you'll get your answer as to why we SOMETIMES feel the way we do

of course, it is unfair, that i try to compare to the promo for 2nd and 3rd single.... this is my mistake. but LYLALS didnt get the right promo last year....
and of course both artists could get better promo, treat by other record company.
So, im here, and im staning for GYHAB, and maybe a little for Demi's success too

Sadly, Z100 didnt add to their requestlist the song either, so we couldnt make the same, as you did with GYHAB....
i remember, how were you feeling for the first few add weeks by GYHAB, and Now the song is starting blow up by POP radios
i believe, that GYHAB is on the same way, as LYLALS was last year. Slowly start, but more and more bigger station are spinning it, and it wont stop until TOP10 by POP format!

Just wait, HTL might be another slow hit. Everything can happen!
and yeah GYHAB's run reminds me of LYLALS too so far I don't think Demi will go top 10, but top 25 probably and maybe top 20 is possible!!

just little off topic:
You can see, that the first two song had a very strong first 3 weeks.... so i thought, that it could happen with HTL, but no....
Week Who S. - LYLALS -HTL.
0 - 5 - 1 - 2
1 - 26 - 17 - 0
2 - 20 - 10 -
3 - 10 - 12 -
4 - 10 - 8 -
5 - 8 - 9 -
6 - 6 - 10 -
7 - 11 - 6 -
8 - 9 - 4 -
9 - 11 - 2 -
10 - 4 - 7 -
11 - 2 - 10 -
12 - 0 - 3 -
13 - 0 - 3 -
14 - 0 - 8 -
15 - 0 - 3 -
16 - 0 - 6 -
17 - 0 - 15 -
18 - 0 - 9 -
19 - 0 - 4 -
20 - 0 - 1 -
21 - 0 - 2 -
122 150 2
On: GYHAB is taking off by more and more stations, if KIIS FM could add the song too, that would be great, but i see a TOP15 hit, at least. So, Demi finally reaches, that she deserves by radios too!

OMFG at Who Says' first + second week adds
but again, don't worry too much. there are still 100 stations who are reporting their adds, everything is still possible. 10 adds would be good already! You know maybe the song wont be a SMASH, but it might be another top 20 hit for Selena, and it might still rise faster than LYLALS so yeah
And about GYHAB... yeah that's true! but KIIS is so ignorant with her. They premiered Skyscraper but never played it again then And they have GYHAB on their countdown list, but they refuse to play it even though we voted like crazy. But they might add or play it once it enters top 20... maybe...

I agree with you. HTL is a 3rd single. 3rd single is slaying by radios very rarely. (except if you are Adele ) So, we will see.
Yes, if GYHAB is entering in TOP20, from this moment KIIS isnt ignoring it either, and many other big stations too!

But...
What does HTL have to do with this?
Even if HTL got treated worse (I honestly have no idea), then it's like telling someone who hasn't eaten for a day to not whine about it cause there are kids in very poor countries who don't eat for days.
Saying there is an even worse case doesn't mean GYHAB had good promo.
Also, You made a few mistakes and left some things out for GYHAB
Single announced late December, first real performance as a single was at New Year's Eve.
But the single only got sent to radio adds in Februari, 1-2 months later, and we didn't hear from Demi at all in between.
Then the video was released in APRIL, not March. Beginning of April, true, still April though.
Also, you saying that HTL has been treated bad...
To me it seems that HTL wasn't even released for the US. Selena does decent (not great) in Europe too, and HTL was actually on MTV here today. I think they noticed LYLALS didn't work in Europe, so HTL was for Europe mostly. Which makes sense, look at the EMA's
Still HTL, from what I read from you, has been treated like crap as well. But for that I refer to my 'starving kid' argument
