Melody's rant at the concert was to the label, not Nicole. Melody was hired as co lead singer but was placed back to function as bgdancer, Ashley;Jessica;Kimberly were hired as bgdancers, Melody had all the right to complain, I agree, but people missunderstood the fact that it was against the label, not Nicole is particular, Nicole and Melody are still friends, and Melody still supported Nicole outside of PCD, like with Dancing With The Stars and they had dinner last year together in the UK.

Nicole co-wrote, co-produced and sang Jai Ho, Nicole was asked for Jai Ho, not PCD, like cypriotpcdfan said they were on tour, PCD were probably already busy with a re-release in mind, it was all much easier to get it under the PCD name, but still give Nicole credit since she was asked, it is basically a song with the PCD brand label while it is a Nicole solo song.
Hush Hush; Hush Hush has pretty much around the same story, and I guess Nicole planned to leave after DD, to try solo again, and the "featuring" thing was just a easy way to introduce her name as "artist", since they already did it with the Jai Ho single, I guess that whole idea got shelved because of the critism, which is understandable in Melody's case, but the others were hired following the concept, so as bgdancers, and bgvocals, they were never intended as mainsingers.
Tbh, the whole Doll Domination project was to get a compromise to get a sort of Nicole solo album out, but still get something out under the PCD name, "PCD" (album) was pretty much shared vocals, Melody and Carmit had enough solo parts in songs beside Beep, just Interscope used DD to get Nicole still by PCD, raise money and to keep the PCD train going while Nicole was giving full creativity during most of the DD album process.
It was all just a mess and Interscope (and Robin) is to blame for it all, they are the puppetmaster, and as much for Nicole as for the others, they just gave Nicole some more loseless strings while the others were threated as full puppets.
