Even if it does hit #1, its not going to receive the kind of media attention as debuting at #1 does.

Not necessarily, unless it's a huge song like "Born This Way."

I remember "Crack a Bottle" debuting at #1, and the attention didn't feel as big as something like "Love The Way You Lie" climbing to #1, for example.
