Of course but I've always been proud of her being able to sell without sale prices. I mean 21 has received more discounts than all of Taylor's albums combined and she hardly ever gets discounts so to sell as much as Taylor does means that people love her music not because the music is just cheap for this week

I don't even know what to say right now. Hopefully, no more messes like Mine's too early pop release, BTD's late and understated mv, Mean being the countriest song being blocked, TSOU release ( but great MV, I want Nobles again), SF mess, and leaving out gems such as Enchanted.

No but I feel like that might have been her favorite. Enchanted would never work (too long) and Speak Now wouldn't even make the top 10. The problem I had with her statement was comparing it to Katy. The goal of sending a song out to radio is for it help bring in new fans and that is what Ours did

Imo, she realizes that she can't promote every future release like the way she does right now. I think she's trying to adopt the "Word of Mouth" strategy. It's gonna be the safety net if things are not happening as she'd like to. Sure she will keep promoting, and releasing singles. But if that 2nd strategy works REALLY well, you won't need those marketing ********s to sell record. The more marketing ***** you use to sell record, the more people hate it. It's the new age marketing, fellas. Let the music speaks for itself.

For example, I see someone posted it in ATRL, ask random people about Midnight City by M83, I bet a lot of people know it and speak highly for it. But go ask them about Boyfriend or Starships, not so much you will get "Who? What?" as the answer. The most obvious example for Taylor is "Eyes Open" and "Safe and Sound". Here in group of people who don't follow charts and pop music, many have listened to them at least once. They gave a second chance to her music. No big promo like Nicki Minaj or Justin Bieber, but she won more people. Let people discover it by themselves instead of forced to listen to it by marketing strategy.

Streaming services are the channel to see the TRUE number of audience. No longer Airplay or whatever ****ery we've been focusing at.
