I'm really getting tired of seeing these stereotypical and degrading comments about "the hood." Some of y'all act as if pop fans are better when in fact if they were so much better and bought more albums she would of sold 500k first week. Her biggest market that bought her first album in the whole United States was NEW YORK, and I can bet most of those NY sales were out of the "hood" which everyone claims doesn't support. People support good music when they hear it. There is bootlegging everywhere, why are we acting like NY is the only place that does it.

It's getting out of hand now, and it's really disrespectful. That's like me saying all pop fans are fickle people who have no idea of what good music is. That's a stereotype, and it's not right to say.

They're first week estimates, based on Amazon.com sales. Most times their predictions are fairly accurate, but if many more people buy the album in-store than online, the prediction can be off.

Even if the prediction is off, Nicki's not selling more than 300,000 this week. Which sucks. It now all depends on how she promotes the album.

TBH, I view this album as a step up from Pink Friday.
Better pop records, sure, but also better rap records. So... it's not like she just sold out to have good pop songs.

Exactly. And I mean, if I live near the "ghetto" then that means the ghetto is buying 21 by Adele, because that CD has had consistent sales every damn day since release.

It debuted at #2 and sold consistently well for about 9 months after release, even if Roman Reloaded isn't opening with huge figures because she alienated her urban fanbase, she'll probably have strong consistency and could earn another multi-Platinum album.

Yeah you're completely right - if she plays her cards right, she'll sell huge by year's end.

But it's still annoying - it just means she needs to have a solid promotion strategy, so no ****ing around.

But still... my point is that she gained sales in following weeks.
Once more people know about the album, she'll definitely push more sales.
Not to mention... can we take a look at separate song sales?
Every single song on the album is in the top 400 on iTunes.
75% of those songs are in the top 200, almost 50% in the top 100 itself.
Nicki is going to have a solid 4+ new songs debuting on the Hot 100 with these trends.

Everything goes back to Urban. Superbass might have gotten her endorsements (endorsements I don't know of), but how did she get Superbass? How did she get mainstream? How did she sell almost 400k first week for PF before Superbass was even released? Her whole career is "possible" because of the hip hop fans that supported her when she was just a popular myspace artist trying to make it big, I still remember the day everyone heard she got signed to a major label. Did it on em', Bedrock, Monster Nicki is the best Nicki, we know it and she knows it too.
