No they're actually not. The rare ones are the performances where she is completely exhausted and gives a sub standard effort. Hence the Rock In Rio video posted earlier in the thread.
Rihanna is generally a consistent performer actually, and recently, the WFL promo has been better than consistent. It was great, and the Grammy reviews confirm that.

I think the issue people have with Rihanna is that she has no distinct talent. Since you brought up Britney, let's use her; she used to be a better singer than nowadays but she too was never great. However, from an early age she built up a reputation as one of the leading dancer/performer/entertainers etc. That's what truly set her apart.
But Rihanna? There are millions of better singers than her, most of her performances just consist of her lazily walking round the stage while letting the backing track take most of the work, and she contributes barely anything to the creative process of her music. It's her image and other people's talents that sell her records more than anything, and that's what people have a problem with.

I understand this line of thinking, there is nothing that stands out about Rihanna.
The point is though, she has great vocals. That's what the OP proves. The videos arent somehow "overrated" like you seemed to claim
Most people won't actually watch the videos though. They will continue making the argument that Katy and Britney have equivalent if not better vocals

That is what's sadly mistaken about Rihanna. Those videos sing circles around them.
And nobody has sung Russian Roulette better than that, not even on a talent show. It is an amazing performance on - not just some karaoke song, but with a
vocally and emotionally challenging track ("Talented" singers like Marcus Collins attempted it on X factor, and pretty much didnt succeed).
