Two recent interviews reveal details of the official tracklist for ‘What We Saw From The Cheap Seats‘. Three of the newly revealed songs are tracks that were previously performed live, while the fourth is a completely new composition.
An interview with Brazilian magazine folha.com, mentions ‘don’t let me be misunderstood’, which is a lyric from ‘Oh Marcello‘. Another interview with German radio station, Kingfm.net, mentions ‘Small Town Moon’ , “a playfully romantic ballad”; “the earnest” ‘How’; and the “economically instrumented, thoughtful” ‘Open’.
We heard that ‘Patron Saint’, ‘Ballad of a Politician’, ‘Firewood’, and two brand new tracks entitled ‘Jessica’ and ‘The Party’ are also expected to make the tracklist, but this is yet to be officially confirmed.

LORD so many things are making me happy after seeing this but the two most pleasing things are Patron Saint and Oh Marcello. Im just...... Somebody better share in my overwhelmed state.
I'm slightly concerned over the fact there will be only three new songs on the album. Granted, there were only like 3-4 new songs on Far, but I was hoping that the ratio would be half new material, half old stuff. Oh well. But on the bright side, "Open" will be on it!

I don't quite hate it, but I'm really not feeling it. She should have left it alone, as it's not a song that was begging to be remade.

Well I hated it. As soon as I heard it, I put the original on replay I think its because I really liked the fact that the original was so organic and just used a piano as accompaniment. Im really hoping she doesnt overproduce Patron Saint. I would hate to have to be disappointed in that one. Its literally one of my all time faves from her.
