It's a continent. It includes Australia, New Zealand, Micronesia etc. If it wasn't a continent and Australia was then where would we place the others (New Zealand and etc.)?
It depends tbh. It's 6 or 7. Some were taught as America being 1 continent while others are taught North and South America.
I was also confused about Australia and Oceania before because two teachers of mine are teaching me differently. I researched and found out the it was indeed Oceania, the continent and Australia is just a country.
