I posted that performance and you dismissed it and called it a "cute prop" when you probably couldn't even articulate the message of that performance without calling it blasphemous.
When did I do this?
Madonna hanging herself on a cross like Jesus Of Nazareth is supposed to be stripped down?
Holy ****, can we just agree that Beyoncé and Madonna are both amazing performers?
This thread was originally about praising Michael and Beyoncé, not a stan war comparing every female artist's performance skills. Madonna was not even mentioned in the OP.
When you originally posted it, you didn't include dates. I copied and pasted exactly what you typed. Trying to change it now?
No, you just feel dumb now for trying to prove something that is false.
By googling "Lady Gaga VMAs" you get mostly articles on her costume of choice, not her performance. Everyone (including google and the planet) knows Beyonces performances are more talked about and praised than her peers, its no secret.
If Beyonce was put into Madonnas place on her tour, it would be OUTSTANDING.
If Madonna was put into Beyonces place during her performance of something like Single Ladies.
You obviously don't see the flaw in your logic.
Beyonce stans criticize Madonna for using props in her show, while Beyonce doesn't need that to perform and be a great performer. Well performing, for music artists, is translating your artistry into visual form. Beyonce and Madonna both use different mediums when approaching their performing. Beyonce's music is about empowerment and aggressive, and that's how she is on stage. Whereas Madonna's music is very artsy and thought provoking.
Beyonce uses the medium of voice and dance, while Madonna uses visuals/props/whatever in her show. Each medium compliments the artist. So if you're gonna attack Madonna for using props, visuals, etc. then you have to attack Beyonce for her medium as well. That's why the logic is flawed.
And just for the record, Beyonce's visuals/props are no match for Madonna's on Madonna's worst day.

The crux of the Beyonce argument in this thread is that she doesn't use/need props to make her show.
Beyoncé doesn't need props to perform. If she does use them, they compliment her raw abilities, not substitute them. That is why she wins in both cases.

No one said Beyoncé doesn't use props or criticized Madonna for doing so.
The basis of the argument was that Beyoncé doesn't NEED them.
Eli sis, people talking about how bad a performance is or how horrid the new Madonna song she performed at the Superbowl doesn't make the performance good.
Besides, the only time I heard about the performance that night was either a) when people would talk about how Kelly did better than her that night or b) when people were talking about MIA giving the finger.
but when you're profession is being a singer, it should be.
What about people who aren't strong vocally? Madonna, MJ, Janet, Ciara aren't great singers, but perform(ed) top notch. Does them not singing well take away from their performance?

COMPLEMENT, AHH.
But it's actually a little awkward when Bey tries to be artistic. See Sweet Dreams at the EMAs. She is at her best when she is simple and soulful.

And you don't think being able to assemble a cohesive show with props and visuals that compliment the song being performed isn't a raw ability like singing?
