michael & beyoncé compensate for their lipping at times with their dance abilities or just pure ability to be a dynamic character on stage. Madonna does not rule a stage the same way and if you take away the lights she can't compensate for her poor vocals with dancing or vice versa.

What the **** are you even talking about? you say it as though Madonna depends on shocking performances, she takes what she does very seriously and she likes to push people's buttons but it's done in a way to get people thinking (i.e. the 'Live to tell' performance at the Confessions tour) -- Madonna is a performance art entertainer. She, much like Gaga, isn't being shocking just for the sake of it.

Her VMA 'Like a virgin' performance is a good performance but I personally feel she performed it better at the Confessions tour. And she didn't use any shocking elements.

Since plenty of people disagree that she's a mediocre performer, that's simply a matter of preference. Beyoncé very, very rarely lip-syncs so she doesn't count, but Michael did it so often that it made him just as guilty as Madonna.

And before someone jumps on me, I am an MJ fan. I just think it's rather hypocritical to discount other performers who lip-sync too often, but make excuses for him because of his performing ability. It's true that Madonna isn't much of a singer, but some of you are going overboard putting her at Rihanna's level.

She does not NEED to hire someone to do that. She has enough creativity and vision to do it all on her own. She CREATES her shows, every single BIT of every single song on the set list. It's all HER.
