The thing about Sats post is that even though there were 400 Beyoncés and 100 or so dancers, Bey never faded into the back. I watched a few of the Sticky & Sweet Tour performances and I cannot say the same for Madge.

Some may say Madonna is a better "entertainer" than Janet Jackson because of the visual aspect, but Janet Jackson is a better performer. I mean she is like a ****ing lion on the stage. POWERFUL! There is a raw sheer power that can't be denied from her. She can just stand their and just scowl into the audience for 10 minutes and they will just scream.

Beyonce is a better raw performer I guess when only looking at singing and dancing, but imo Madonna is the better performer including when theatrics. Madonna does not use theatrics as a crutch though, or anything. Heck, Madonna has always proclaimed herself as a performance artist first and foremost, before singer/dancer/etc. You also have to factor in things like charisma and stage presence. Madonna's performances are always about making statements.

Beyonce's vocal perfomances are incredibly nuanced. Those who can't see this are blinded by presentation, imagery, props etc.

Bey did NOT perform Hello the same way every night on tour. Nor did she perform the operatic component of Ave Maria the same way. She played around the the crescendos, the runs, the arrangements. Aspects that make her a dynamic VOCALIST. All very much a part of how great of a performer she is.
