Sidenote: I love it Twitter doesn't count as promotion BUT the Demi stans used the hell out of Twitter to vote and promote that Demi was nominated for a People's Choice Award. Raven's music not taking off has alot to do with most tweens wanting to hear straight pop music. She just wasn't catering to their market. That's why Keke Palmer's music gets overlooked too. It sucks.

Demi was the same in a way. The pop/rock thing kinda hurt her because she started doing it when pop/rock was fading. Even Selena tried the whole pop/rock/band thing and was flopping horribly until Naturally turned things around and changed her music career completely.

Talent doesnt = Commerical Success

Commercial Success doesnt = Talent


If I had to choose from a talented yet commercialy unsuccessful artist and a commercialy successful yet untalented artists then I'd choose the first option.....commercial success is just a bonus.

As for the questioning of her material pika why not compare reviews for Stupid Hoe against the reviews for Skyscraper. Critically all 3 albums have recieved above average reviews so there is nothing to say her material itself is bad aswell.
