Madonna, that is beyond question. E=MC2 is one of the worst Pop albums I've listened to, Emancipation is extremely mediocre, and Glitter is boring.
Memoirs is forgettable, and haven't listened to Charmbracelet, but it's not enough to make up for it.
Music, American Life and Confessions are three forward thinking, mature, and intelligent releases from the Queen of Pop.

Mariah released Through The Rain which is an inspirational song from Charmbracelet and Bye Bye Bye for E=Mc2,. Did Madonna release something relevant as those?

I"d say Mimi because not only does she have more songs that topped the charts, but her songs have more quality than Madonna"s. And her vocals and the notes she hit could never be hit by Madonna.

I see I'm going to have to drag the same Madonna stans again...

She sold a little under 6 mil (5,941,000) in the US, and that's 50% of 12 million. Don't they provide calculators in the Navy?

451,209 in the US.
1.2 million WW, 679,000 in the US, so that's barely pushing 521,000 "WW". And you want to talk 9 million?
Take a seat in your puddle of delusion.

Charmbracelet: 4,000,000
TEOM: 12,000,000
E=MC2: 2,500,000
MOAIA: 1,000,000 (gross overestimate)
Total: 19,500,000 + 3,000,000 (Let's throw in Glitter for good measure) = 22,500,000
Music: 11,000,000
American Life: 4,000,000
COADF: 10,000,000
Hard Candy: 4,000,000
Total: 29,000,000
You were saying?

The 25 Worst-Selling #1 Albums
Madonna, American Life, 674,000. This was Madonna's fifth chart-topper; her first since Music in 2000. But this has sold less than a quarter as many copies as that album has. American Life charted in April 2003 with first-week sales of 241,000. That's 36% of its total. The album included Madonna's 2002 hit "Die Another Day" from the James Bond movie of the same name. The problem: No other songs from the album cracked the top 30.
|
American Life released 2003: 700,000
Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel released 2009: 600,000
