"Beat your face off" qualifies as an insult. She was both criticizing Rihanna while insulting her.
As for the assumption that the other people insulting her look "ten times beastlier"........ nah.
She's going to be reactive for a short while, but I'm sure she will now be more cautious about messing with a celebrity that has a large fan base.
