I definitely think this opens a new year of experiences for me. I'm scared, nervous, excited, and a bit sad (I mean, I didn't get in) but I'm hoping for the best
Hopefully the grant pulls through and I can get in that way. If not, I can at least work and make money!

I'm a firm believer in things happening as they are supposed to happen. A year off could be the best thing for you, who knows!

Spring Break!
While all of my friends are partying it up on the beautiful sand beaches of Cuba, I'm stuck in this frozen hell hole. Our winter has been really mild so I shouldn't complain too much but still.

This is my first year being a non-student since I graduated last June...totally didn't even know it was Spring Break...makes me feel old!!!
In the province where I live, it's "Family Day" which is basically a day off from work. Nothing to do today but relax!

You're Canadian? Which province are you from? Québec doesn't celebrate Family Day, what with our astronomical divorce rate and inability to pronounce the damn word. "Le Jour de la Famille" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

Well, I'm not a very big advocate of Bill 101 but I came out a winner in this mess. Luckily, I was allowed to go to English school because my mother did but other kids weren't so lucky. French is beautiful language, but having had it shoved down my throat all my life has somewhat tainted its beauty.

Yaaass at the 20+ Club doubling as the Canadian Club!
Patri, I did French Immersion all through school when I was a kid. I love the language, but now that I'm out of school and no longer speak it regularly, I'm finding I'm forgetting A LOT of vocab. I'd love to get it back tho.

Calling all 20+ers, let's talk travel. Summers coming up and it's on my mind. Where's your favourite place you've travelled to? Any upcoming trips? Horror stories or places to avoid?
Two summers ago I went to LA (it was just ok...a bit dumpy IMO and I prefer new york),drove up the Pacific Coast Highway (AMAZING drive, highly reccomended!!!) to San Francisco. SanFran is without a doubt my fav city ever! Loved the sights, the culture, the people, the buildings. I love it there and would go back in a heartbeat.

I finally going to Montreal on this summer, I've been wanting to visit the city part of my family is from for years! Even brushing up on my french for it too. My current favourite place in Canada, is definetly Vancouver, and I will happily call it home once again in 2 months. It's just so beautiful.
But, Los Angeles is my all-time fave vacation spot. It's always been a dream to live there, as it has everything that I love. Sunshine, the movie industry, my fave hockey team, and much more.

You get back languages fairly quickly once you start practicing them again so I wouldn't worry!
Hollywood, you'll love Montreal. It's very different from the rest of Canada. Let me know if you need help picking places to visit or to eat, I'd be happy to help.
As for travel, I go to Italy pretty often. My dad's family is all there so we have a house. I love it there, I practically grew up between the two countries. As I'm getting older though I'm starting to see why my grandparents on my moms side and my dad left. I'm grateful that they did.

My family always goes to Puerto Rico in the summer. I love it! The beaches are beautiful.
Last spring break I went to LA for the first time and it was so fun! I took all the studios tours and did the House of Celebrities tour. I didn't really want to because it felt creepy and stalkerish but my mom had to do it haha

Hi there guys ! I turned 20 last Nov so I guess I'm old enough to join with you ^^
About travelling, I'm living in New Zealand now, and if you guys can afford it, you should definitely come here, this country is so beautiful. My favourite place here is Bay of Islands which I visited few weeks ago, best trip ever :x
I'm originally from Vietnam, which is good country to visit, everything is very cheap there, you can get anything with half price or less than that :-)
