It only peaked at #9 in the US yet it outsold 'Crazy In Love' (8 weeks at #1) and 'Baby Boy' (9 weeks at #1) combined.

I voted Britney because songs like Toxic, Gimme & Slave are great but what huge impact did Toxic have? It wasn't that big of a hit. Good song =/= big impact. Honestly, you hear Xtina's Beautiful & Fighter on the radio way more than Toxic nowadays. They've had a longer shelf life on HAC and AC. Pop only plays what's new and hot.
