Yes, I'm hard on Bey because I've been a fan since 2000 and I've grown up with her. She was my 2nd love right behind Monica..... trust if this was a Monica forum, you'd see me read her her rights on the daily. But this is ATRL where Monica is a flop so I gotta be positive and promote. I'm hard on everybody that I love and respect. Bey will not be an exception. I didn't feel the need to call out Leona because those head notes she hit are HARD TO DO... he didn't post any of her other songs so there simply wasn't a need. Christina is a beast in the studio plus I'm a fan.... no lies were told that upset me. Bey's Countdown note was laughed at THROUGHOUT this thread before I posted so be mad at everyone else if you are gonna jump down my throat about it.

Um no, discussing vocal ability (which this thread is supposed to be about) has nothing to do with the general public's perception.
Being able to hit a note is a fact, not an opinion or a common carried ideal.


And again, barely? Is this the face of someone struggling to hit a note? Is the resonance & clarity of her voice showing signs of difficulty and strain? she's only performed Resentment @ I Am... Yours & that was after an 98 date tour & her voice was showing clear signs of wear so i don't know about that.

We're on ATRL. People think that Countdown's note is easy because Beyoncé isn't in whistle register. They base their opinion on the general public & not what they can hear & analyze for themselves, but then again so do you apparently.

So you base your whole argument on what notes Whitney can hit, what Mariah can do that would outdo Beyonce, & Leona having an amazing headvoice but this argument isn't about being able to hit notes?
