I didn't want to get there but since someone did I will say that not only Aretha but Diana and Tina Turner are way more influential music wise than Madge as I already stated countless times in SYG.

Music is not only about the impact of a wedding dress at the MTV or kissing a younger singer on the stage. Tina Turner had Mick Jagger, Eros and countless others wanted to do the kind of music she does. Prince, Michael, rock legends at one point try to emulate Aretha's songs, try to make songs as creative as hers, used her as a bible and a guide to understand and capture "real music" and you will sit here and tell me Madge is more influential?
