I don't know exact numbers, but I'm pretty sure album music industry is down at least 50% from the 80s. 25M would have been in 2006, maybe.
What was the latest album to approach 20M copies? Norah Jones? Britney?
Even if the industry is down, 21 is one of the least likely albums to be affected by it. It is unlikely that the type of people who want 21 are teenagers who will illegally download it. They are likely to buy it whilst shopping.
AND THE GRAMMY FOR THE ALBUM OF THE YEEAR GOEEEES TOOOOOO.
RIHANNA LOUUUUUUUDDD "na na na come on"
if this happens, I give it a week until I'm banned. The number of monsters on ATRL will decrease dramatically, while the number of Rihanna stans will flourish, mark my words.
I doubt Gaga will win anything. She's up against Adele in each category she's nominated in. Also, for Pop Vocal, I'm betting it will go to either Katy or Bruno. I just..don't see anything big happening this year.
