This is interesting, though. 2 years ago, many Gaga fans wouldn't have any problem making comparisons. I even think they liked it.

Did you miss the main theme of The Fame? The album is all about pop culture and what it takes to be famous.
I've been saying for years... at least at first, the point of Gaga's image was that it was cobbled together from society's preconceived notions of what a dumb blonde pop starlet should be.

That's not true, she's never said that she's created any of her looks. So it would have never happened. Since the beginning of her TF era when she started getting famous with Just Dance she always cited her influences. So to say what she would have claimed is simply not so.

The only "link" was how she gained the attention of the people and her fame in a very short time.
+ Gaga wasn't linked to Madonna since the rise of her career. People compared her to Bowie back then

I'm talking about taking risk, changing her looks, and being provocative. Everyone claimed she was jumping on the electro music bandwagon with Bionic. But truth be told, Xtina wanted to do an electro pop album since 05. My issue is, and it's been that since 08, people gave Gaga way too much credit than she deserved. Granted, she was the funniest thing in pop in a long while but she was completely over hyped. Gaga owes Xtina all the thanks because no one was here for her until VMAS 08 and that's true tea.

Right? It's like, once Madonna did something it's off-limits forever or else you're copying, but when Gaga does something that shows up elsewhere, shut up it's not copying you're pressed more than one person has the same idea stop reaching you delusional stan.

Why is Gaga bleeding onstage a Madonna ripoff, but this isn't a Gaga ripoff?
