so why would you assume that GMAYL is going to receive payola? just because it's played every hour?
Trick question?
As far as i was aware, it wasn't known if GMAYL was going to receive hourly play. I was just responding to the person I quoted for being reported for stating the truth, which is that BTW and You da One both had payola.
Now, with that said, if GMAYL does indeed receive hourly play it will be due to some arrangement.

i also don't know if it's going to be played every hour. all we know is that it will be serviced to radios at 8AM on Friday morning.
and if I recall, BTW and YDO weren't payola because it was disclosed by the radio stations (to the listeners) that their respective record labels had some sort of deal/contest going on. so that's not payola, it's promotion.

I hate to break it to you but that is the very defenition of modern Payola, promotions for play. If im correct, exchanging money for play is illegal.
WHY would i get a warning for saying my own opinion?!
I can't believe this, you RARELY see radio deals like this. Whenever a radio station premieres a song, their most likely PAYED to do so. No radio station just calls a station and says "Oh when u guys decide to release a song, can we have it first?"
